For some of the cheapest shopping for food in Paphos, try those in the Geriskipou area - since there are less tourists here the prices drop dramatically compared to Kato Paphos, Tomb of the kings, Paphos Town or Universal in both the kiosks and the supermarkets.

Make your own ice: All you need are some small food bags which you can seal. Fill them with water and put them in the freezer. This can save you a few euros here and there on buying ice from the shops.

Thyme: Wild Thyme can be found growing at the side of the road in Paphos, so you can pick it for free and use it to season your barbeques, chickens and other meals. Make sure you wash it before you use it. The same also goes for wild fennel.

Barbeques: There a plenty of cheap cuts of meat and fish in Paphos which are excellent for barbequing. Pork is very cheap and if you are looking for fish, frozen sardines or calimari are excellent from the barbi.
